Summary
OTTO Health is looking for a UX/UI designer to join our team in Boulder, CO. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Delivery, this role is an opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership of the application design process and work across organizational functions to drive product design and success.
From new feature design to current product refactoring, the UI/UX lead will design the look and feel of OTTO’s web and mobile products. We’re looking for someone with a strong point of view, confidence with all of facets of the design process, and experience driving a product to success. The right person for this role can’t wait to get their hands dirty and is excited take the lead on product design and user experience.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work with development and product teams to understand the desired product function and design future state product
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product and development teams
• Conduct & facilitate requirements, design, and implementation reviews
• Illustrate design ideas using diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and stakeholders
• Be open to feedback and collaboration, while advocating for your own opinions
• Document ongoing progress, questions and status on work assignments
in JIRA and communicates these updates daily
Requirements
• Minimum 3- 5 years of UX design experience (and the portfolio to prove it) as a key, hands-on UI/UX designer
• Proven experience connecting the dots between business needs, innovation and good design
• Experienced at creating and revising application artifacts to continuously improve the user experience, including but not limited to: content design, wire frames, comprehensive diagrams and static prototypes
• Fluent in web and mobile design/UI/UX
• Proactive self-starter; ability to self-manage workloads and check in with product/development teams to verify priorities
• Detail oriented, analytical, and dynamic; able to take on multiple tasks at once
• Obsessed with good user-centered design practices and have an eye for detail
• Background in business, healthcare, computer science, or related, preferred
• Direct healthcare experience preferred
• Front-end development experience preferred
